Description This thesis project is part of a broader Proof of Concept project aimed at bringing to the critical care and intensive care medicine market a new biomedical device developed by the TNH-Lab at the Polytechnic of Turin to assist hemodialysis therapy during supportive treatments for acute renal failure.
For this project, two Master students in Management Engineering are required to study the patent developed by the Polytechnic research team and compare it with the current patent panorama and the closest prior art. Contacts have then been activated with multinational manufacturers of dialysis machines for intensive care and market research is required to estimate the value of the device and its potential for integration into current diagnostic techniques. It will also be possible to outline a market entry strategy and envisage the creation of a start up. The students will work in synergy with a research team made up of biomedical engineers, biologists, pharmaceutical technicians, nurses and intensive care doctors. The thesis will take place at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Corso Duca degli Abruzzi and can also be carried out remotely.
