Description Midori developed Ned, a smart meter that provides users, by mean of a Mobile App, the consumptions of home appliances, without installing multiple metering systems, but using only one single sensor, easy to install at the electrical control panel by mean of a common current clamp. Ned works with advanced algorithms of pattern recognition and data analytics.
The aim of the thesis is developing statistical models for estimating the energy consumption of main home appliances through the analysis of some soft information provided by the user (e.g. capacity, aging, mode of usage, etc.).
The candidate will adapt and update some exiting models according to the most recent energy labels and build new ones for highly demanded appliances (e.g. dryer, car charger, etc.).
