Description The purpose behind this research project is to exploit hardness mapping to quantify the residual plastic behavior of cold stamped parts in aluminum alloys 5 XXX) and/or AHSS steels and to find a quantitative correlation with their fatigue limit.
The proposed research strategy is based on an innovative multi scale approach which combines nano and microhardness.
