Description Edge computing is an emerging paradigm for the provisioning of user applications requiring low latency. Most of such applications leverage machine learning and, especially, distributed machine learning, which however requires significant resources for training in addition to labeled data. This thesis topic, which takes place in collaboration with Prof. Falko Dressler of the Berlin Technical University, addresses such important aspects as resource allocation, distributed machine learning, sensor fusion, aiming at developing novel protocols and algorithms. Within the thesis scope both an algorithmic and experimental approach can find application, depending on the candidate's skills and preferences.
Required skills - Good programming skills
- Basic knowledge of networking, or of signals and sensors
