Descrizione a growing interest in investing resources in research in this field, probably due to a growing number of cyber attacks that are carried out every day. Attacks are not only aimed at stealing information from cloud services, servers or personal PCs, but also at exploiting leaks in smaller devices, usually not very considered when thinking about security solutions implementations: the embedded devices. Attacks like Mirai Botnet (2006) have shown how important is to protect even these devices that surround our daily lives.
What has always held back the implementation of new solutions for these devices is the minimum amount of resources available, whether computational or memory, thus making it difficult to adopt solutions designed for higher performance computing systems.
The objective of the thesis work will be to start building a secure version of a Real-Time OS (such as RIOT) for making it run on Hardware security Platforms.

The thesis activities will be carried out in collaboration with researchers of:
- CINI Cybersecurity National Laboratory (https://cybersecnatlab.it)
- Telsy SpA
