Thesis type MASTER THESIS
Description The adoption of Internet of Things devices for both customer applications (IoT) and industrial ones (IIoT) is becoming a daily reality for the world, and more and more interest is growing around the issues of security and authentication of devices and data. The traditional centralized approaches for device authentication become inefficient when the number of connected devices scales up.
The thesis aims at developing a brand new decentralized approach exploiting proper and light Distributed Ledger Technologies, in particular blockchain-based ones, with costs compatible with the nature of such resource-constrained IoT and IIoT devices.
