Description The thesis project is focused on the definition of suitable semiempirical models for NOx formation modeling in gas turbine burners. The activity involves: 1. Literature review on NOx modeling state-of-the-art, 2. validation of the models available in commercial codes against experimental data, critical assessment of the calibration process; 3. development of semiempirical lumped-parameter models for the NOx formation process, under different fuel composition, equivalence ratio and mixture humidity.
Required skills Computational fluid dynamics, basic programming skills in Matlab environment
