Description The student will continue the development of a project entitled ZEBS (Zero Emission Braking System), started in 2021, by implementing electromagnetic, thermal and CFD simulations of a magneto-rheological fluid for a braking system application.
The work will start from the bibliographical research and previously developed models, and its goal is to deepen the knowledge about the system and its potential application as well as supply useful data to an experimental proof-of-concept. Being the system extremely new, the student must be prone to self-learning and entrepreneurial attitude.
Required skills Analytical structured and pragmatic working style, pro-active and self-motivated attitude, willingness to learn new software and to create/discover unusual modelling strategies and capacity to find, read and understand state-of-the-art research work.
MATLAB + Multi-physics simulation (structural, magnetic, fluid, etc..) + CAD
