Description Front-end testing of mobile and web applications can be performed through a number of different techniques, ranging from the manual definition of scripts that identify the components of the graphical interface to interact with through textual properties, to more advanced technologies that use interface models, machine learning or artificial intelligence features for the automatic generation of test cases, and tools that use computer vision to verify the graphical interfaces provided to users.
This thesis work concerns the adoption and evaluation of test-automation in front-end projects (web and mobile) of enterprise level, and the evaluation of the adaptability, effectiveness and efficiency of the solution.
An integral part of the thesis will be the framing of the current state of the art of web application testing technologies and methodologies; an experimental protocol for the evaluation of front-end testing tools used in real application contexts will then be defined and developed.
The activities of the thesis will be conducted with an external company.
