Description Some thesis proposals are available in the context of collaboration with IREN Energia for the study of the evolution of existing district heating networks (gas driven) towards systems suitable for operation with renewable sources. In this context, thesis are related to the following specific topics:
1) analysis of district heating prosumer configurations
2) analysis / comparison of models used for the simulation of district heating networks (Termis, Modelica etc)
3) experimental analysis for the validation of fluid dynamics models of the district heating network
4) use of heat pumps in district heating networks

Required skills KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED: motivation and passion for the proposed topics, knowledge of Matlab © software and interest in using it, interest in modeling and optimization of energy systems, attitude to work responsibly and independently
