Thesis type THEORETICAL/PRACTICAL

Description The new knowledge regarding the links between the river hydraulics and the fluvial environment, the new technologies for monitoring and the need to pursue a multiscale view of the river network (from the single river transect to the basin scale ) are the three elements that are revolutionizing the purposes and methods of monitoring watercourses. This thesis falls into this highly topical engineering and environmental topic and, thanks to the collaboration with the local ARPA, aims to focus on the emblematic case of Valle D'Aosta.
The thesis has both a theoretical component (new conception and new purposes of the river measurements) and an experimental one, with field measurements and analyzes.
