Dynamic and static simulation of buildings for energy certification purposes including bioclimatic issues

Reference persons GIACOMO CHIESA

External reference persons La tesi prevede una correlazione di un ricercatore ENEA

Thesis type RESEARCH / EXPERIMENTAL

Description The thesis will work on an ENEA's living lab (ROME) and actual buildings (residential and school buildings) located in a small Municipality in the Turin Province. All buildings have an intelligent monitoring system. The thesis candidate will support the development of a building model using a commercial Italian energy certification tool and will compare simulation results, also considering those periods in which the building will work in free-running or take advantage of passive and bioclimatic technologies. Additionally, the student can compare those results with the ones of the same building's dynamic advanced and calibrated energy models. Thanks to the experimental nature of the thesis and the possibility of working on actual buildings, the idea is undoubtedly adapted to curious candidates loving technological, energetic and performance-driven approaches to building design and building management.
The thesis is part of the educational activities of an EU H2020 Innovation Action project.
