Description Writing music requires solving several complex problems such as harmonization, pattern elaboration, fingering. Formalizing these problems is crucial to enhance the way on how music is generated and to propose support systems for composers, performers and even for didactical purposes. Goal of the thesis is to define models and provide solutions for some of these problems, providing examples and applications, using standard methods of Operations Research.
Coding skills in a programming language (for example: C++, Java or Python) and knowledge in the field of operations research are highly recommended as well as some experience on music notation.
