Description The student will be asked to define a novel dynamic model to simulate the behavior of gerotor pumps for low pressure systems, employed as the pressure or the scavenge pump in lubcrication circuits. The student will realize the dynamic model in a Matlab/Simulink environment following a multi-body approach, building a multi-dimensional representation to support procedures related to the optimization of the profiles geometry, performance analysis and prognostic investigations.

Required skills Applied mechanics, notions of dynamic simulations, knowledge of Matlab/Simulink environment
