Description Active grids are tools that allow for the generation of homogeneous isotropic turbulence at high Reynolds' numbers. In this project the student will have to test the performance of a motorized active grid (already functioning and available) under various driving protocols. Experiments will be carried out in a hydraulic flume and using cutting edge laser diagnostics tools. Students with a cėvocation for the study of physics and experimental methods are particularly welcome.

Required skills Fluid mechanics, basic programming and data analysis skills
