Description The purpose of the project is to develop a circular economy (CE) framework, which uses ESG metrics to measure benefits of a CE approach compared to the current end-of-life (EoL) methods for a leading multinational company working in the mining industry. The project will need to model the current baseline for EoL methods for comparison against a CE approach. Key activties:
• Identify technical solutions and infrastructure for circular economy activities (i.e. recycling, remanufacturing, maintenance) along with the industrial partner;
• Assess the environmental impact of technologies, products and industrial processes adopting Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology and GaBi software;
• Benchmark the environmental impact of alternative circular supply chains through LCA-based approaches;

Required skills Excellent command of English (equivalent to the C1 level of the European Language Framework), both in oral and written form;
Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an advantage. Willingness to learn/work with LCA is an asset;
