Description The aim is to develop a methodology (the simplest method) to represent mechanical behaviour of flexible sections (on pipes); the student will develop a virtual model (solver Abaqus and Nastran/Optistruct) that fully correlates with experimental data (also performed by Politecnico) and develops a standard workflow (how to set up material card, how to model the comp) that will become the roadmap for similar comps
Required skills Required Knowledge: rubber/plastic materials behaviour, static and dynamic analyses fundamentals (Optistruct, Abaqus)
