Description The present work of thesis is focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of doped and undoped phosphate glasses. The glasses will be used to fabricate preforms with the rod-in-tube technique and to draw fiber optics.
Required skills Basic knowledge on glasses, fiber optics and lasers. Ability to process experimental data with commonly used software (Excel or Matlab)
