Description To recharge electric vehicles at home a battery charger is required. This can be either on-board or off-board.
The aim of this work is to design and realize a level-1 (240V, 1.3kW – 3.6kW) onboard charger for an electric motorbike. The student will have to decide the best architecture for this application, design the electric schematic, select proper components, and design the layout. A final test phase will be done when the prototypes will be available.
Required skills Problem-solving capability
Good knowledge of analog electronics
Good knowledge of power electronics
Basic knowledge of SPICE simulators and their usage
Notes 50% in University, 50% in external design centre
