Description The aim of this thesis proposal is in the field of photocatalytic removal of gaseous pollutants for air purification at room temperature. During the laboratory activities, the student will acquire skills in the areas of photocatalysis and indoor pollution by synthesizing high-performance materials for the removal of common pollutants found in confined spaces (e.g., CO, VOCs, chlorinated compounds, aromatics, etc.). Analytical techniques (such as nitrogen physisorption, X-ray diffraction, spectroscopic, and microscopic techniques) will be employed to investigate their chemical and physical properties. Finally, photocatalytic tests will be conducted on a laboratory-scale system to assess the performance and catalytic activity.
