Description The management and maintenance of hydraulic plants is essential to guarantee the effective performance of the systems and safety. These activities can today be supported with tools based on digital 3D models which can then be connected to virtual reality technologies, in which the operator is able to operate on the "as built" model.
This thesis will be carried out in collaboration with AI Engineering and has the aim of: 1) identifying low-cost tools for the reconstruction of plant models and 2) the transfer of these 3D models into a virtual environment, in which it is possible to navigate using viewers and be able inspect and manage basic maintenance information.

During the thesis, real cases will be discussed and a period of collaboration with the AI engineering company is expected.

Required skills Geomatics, programming language

Notes Experimental thesis: at least 6-8 months of activity.
