Description In the literature, various methods have been suggested for estimating the trajectory of a single inertial measurement unit that is worn on the wrist. Among these methods, the most commonly used approach involves the following steps: reconstructing the orientation of the sensor in space, eliminating the gravity acceleration bias, and then integrating the remaining accelerations twice to obtain the trajectory. Although this is a straightforward approach, it presents several challenges, including drift error caused by imperfect orientation reconstruction in space.
The student is expected to address the optimization of orientation reconstruction and then tackle the problem of reconstructing the sensor trajectory in space using AI methods.

Required skills Basic knowledge of physics and of the mechanics of the rigid body
