Description In current eAxle system, weight optimization of few key component, as gears, is requested, without any compromise with the structural strength. Parametric optimization techniques are a good option to perform this task. Correspondent process involves many IT tools (in order to manage the geometry, the mesh, the FEA analysis, the results evaluation, etc…) often expensive.
Objective of this Master Degree Thesis is the development of an already existing parametric optimization process using open source IT tools, aiming at cost reduction. Second step is, if possible, the creation of a simulation digital twin.
At least six months of activity are planned. Job will be performed in Dumarey Office (Corso Castelfidardo 36, Turin, close to Politecnico).
