Description The project is focused on the CFD modeling of combustion in a SI engine, running different NG/H2 blend, in order to give an insight into the effect of hydrogen blending on combustion- and performance-related variables. The final aim is to give a contribution to the development of fuel-flexible IC engines as they can be a competitive technnology for the mobility demends in the medium-term perspective.
Both flamelet-based and detailed chemistry models will be considered, and a wide range of engine operating conditions will be considered.
