Thesis type NUMERICAL AND DESIGN ORIENTED
Description This master's thesis proposal is part of a research collaboration between the SMaLL lab of the Energy Department of the Politecnico di Torino and the aerospace, defense, and security industry leader Leonardo. Specifically, the work is intended to proceed in two phases: In the first phase, the student will conduct an exhaustive review of the proposed technologies for power electronics cooling, both those available on the market and those found in specialized scientific literature. In the second phase, also considering any project constraints relevant to Leonardo's application of interest, the student will proceed with a preliminary feasibility study of at least one of the solutions analyzed in the first phase and deemed of particular interest from the perspective of expected performance and ease of implementation. Part f the thesis work will be carried out at one of Leonardo's sites.
