Description During fatiguing contractions, many adjustments in motor units (MU) behavior occur, reflecting both a peripheral and a central manifestation of muscle fatigue. A recent result of the research activity of our groups indicated that the integration of different information from surface EMG (including linear features and chaotic behavior) could shed light on these different components of muscle fatigue. The student during the thesis is expected to make measurements of multi-channel EMGs at the laboratories of SUISM and to help in the development of a processing algorithm for decoding the muscle condition during the contraction.
