Description The objective of the thesis is to devise a framework supporting body tracking and gesture recognition of one or more users using multiple depth cameras (Microsoft Kinect or similar devices) and wearable inertial sensor modules (e.g., built using prototyping boards like Arduino and Raspberry). Envisaged applications are, among others, in the field of virtual character animation, rehabilitation, and sport training in virtual as well as in mixed reality environments.
