Analysis and modelling of carbon based materials for microwave absorbing applications

Description Carbon based materials (Carbon nanotubes, graphene) have been used intensively as a filler in a variety of polymers. Their outstanding mechanical, electrical and thermal properties allow them to enhance the properties of the material in which they are used as a filler. Recently, this type of composites has been proposed as microwave absorbers. In this thesis, the analysis of the properties of composites materials for shielding applications will be investigated from a simulation and/or experimental point of view.
