Description In the context of the research activities of the Internet Media Group in collaboration with the PIC4SeR center (https://pic4ser.polito.it), we are looking for master thesis students interested in studying and implementing systems to interact with robots using web interfaces and robot API (using, for instance, ROS – Robot Operating System) to control drones and rovers. For instance, it would be interesting to implement remote monitoring systems, based on browsers, with a potential video ￼feedback. It is also possible to experiment in real scenarios with actual robots. The activity can be carried out without being physically present on a day-to-day basis at the Politecnico, except when actual experiments with robots needs to be carried out.
Required skills Ability to program in the context of web applications using HTTP API, Basic knowledge of multimedia data management (images, videos)
