Description Topic: The theses consists in the development of the electrical power system architecture and the control system of a remotely piloted aircraft for operations in critical environment, linked to the ground by means of a controlled-length cable (tether), used for power supply and data transmission.
Thesis 1: Design and control of the electric power system of the remotely piloted aircraft. The aims of this thesis include the analysis of the failure modes and the study of the reconfiguration of the electric power system;
Thesis 2: Control system design for the remotely piloted aircraft. The aims of this thesis include the analysis of the failure modes and the study of the reconfiguration of the position and set-up control system.
Notes The thesis will be carried out under the supervision of the staff of the System and Modeling Control Group at the Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering of National Research Council of Italy (IEIIT-CNR), Prof. Mara Tanelli of Politecnico di Milano (DEIB) and other members of the MoVE group of the DEIB (www.move.deib.polimi.it), and in collaboration with the Rulex, Inc. (www.rulex.ai).
