Description The VEM method allows to define polynomial projections of the derivatives of the solution up to the same order as the polyomial accuracy of the solution itself. This property allows to define the most accurate approximations of quantities of great interest of the simulations and can be used in the calculation of error indicators in order to adapt the discretization mesh to the properties of interest of the solution.
