Description We start with the study of symmetry groups, cyclic groups; we move on to applications on the chromatic scale, to the circle of fifths and other possible circles. The groups of permutations are introduced, the symmetrical group, the dihedral group; apply to the study of rotations and reflections in music. Special groups of actions are studied on the individual notes and agreements. We introduce the graphs and the Hamiltonian paths; they connect with networks of sounds (in particular the speculum of Euler and the Tonnetz by Hugo Riemann). We examine some paths on the Tonnetz generated by famous musical pieces.
