Descrizione The usage of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) is already adopted in harsh environments characterized by radiation particles creating errors in the circuit and application functionality. Today, the usage of the new generation of Systems on Programmable Chips (SoPCs) in accelerator and nuclear plants in order to monitoring and to provide control even in the dramatic case of an accident requires extremely high levels of reliability and robusteness. The goal of this thesis is to investigate the design tools for SoPC manufactured by Xilinx in harsh environments and to develop innovative neural network-oriented circuit analysis and mitigation solutions. The thesis is done in collaboration with INAF IASF Milano.
