Description The thesis will be developed in cohoperation wit a company leader in rolling bearing element manufacturing in Pinerolo area.
Numerical and analytical models of propagation of Lamb waves in a sphere, parametric in sphere diameter and wave frequency will be developed.
Then a model of sub superficial defect will be developed and the corresponding models of wave propagation will be developed parametric with dimension and location of defect.
Aim of the work is to develop a non destructive method for micro defect detection in bearing balls.
