Description Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with LINKS foundation in the framework of an international project is developing an eye-safe LIDAR system. The aim of the thesis is to realize a LIDAR based on a pulsed laser to be mounted on drones for surveillance systems and environmental monitoring. The student should carry on the following activities:
- design and realization of control electronics of the LIDAR system;
- realization of the eye-safe LIDAR prototype;
- Interpretation of the collected data and 3D LIDAR visualization
