Description Goal of the thesis, which will be entirely carried out in collaboration with Teoresi S.p.A, is the design of a sound driven by an advanced system to add sound to electric vehicles (AVAS = Acoustic Vehicle Alerting Systems). The candidate will be free to express her/his creativity, within the limits of applicable acoustic noise regulations, and will have to relate with the advanced system and the CAN (Control Area Network) bus of the vehicle. The goal is to create a sound that will produce in the listener, in the most efficient and effective way, the sensation that a pedestrian perceives when a vehicle is approaching. For this aim, it will be essential to master the communication protocols of last generation vehicles, with the management and programming of audio synthesis and algorithmic composition.

Required skills Required knowledge:
Knowledge of C/C++ programmig language
Knowledge of audio synthesis programming. A knowledge of algorithmic music and algorithmic composition is desirable
Knowledge of the automotive world is desirable
