Description The work will consist in investigating the piezoresistive behaviour of polymer based composite filled with biofriendly carbon nano- and micro-structures. The student will take part in (i) preparation of the samples (ii) characterization of the piezoresistive properties, and (iii) modeling of the composite behaviour under strain.
The work will lead to (i) identification of the optimum concentration of the filler (ii) ability to predict the optimum concentration thanks to the model.
Piezoresistive devices have a wide range of application as pressure sensor as well as failure detector.
