Description In the thesis work, the possible applications of niobium in the automotive sector will be evaluated, with particular reference to the use of niobium as an alloy element in the steels used in the construction of car-body and powertrain components. The thesis will be carried out in remote collaboration with the CBMM group (Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia and Mineração), the world's leading niobium producer, with particular reference to the Amsterdam office. The thesis could also be carried out together with a remote internship of a similar topic.
