Description Respiratory endoscopy is a frequently performed exam in equine medicine. The learning curve for performing endoscopic procedures is made up by the sum of the acquisition of medical knowledge and technical/manual expertise. The latter is significantly hampered by the paucity of occasions during which the students can perform themselves the procedure in educational settings. In this context, the thesis aims to develop a virtual reality-based system to fill this educational gap. The results will provide a new and highly performant educational tool in veterinary medicine and contribute to the knowledge advancement in the field of human-machine interaction in iVR with tangible interfaces. The thesis will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Michela Bullone, Dipartimento di Scienze Veterinarie, Università degli Studi di Torino.
