Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL - DESIGN
Description The proposed thesis aim is to develop an automated control system in the NI LabView environment, for a bioreactor which allows to renew a High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) system. The physical system consists of two HP pumps, different chromatography columns, and different types of detectors (i.e., UV and RI). The work plan includes a review of the state-of-the-art, a good knowledge of the control theory and signals (e.g., digital and analog signals, signal transformations and filtering and post-processing), experimental tests on complex samples, selection and configuration of the required additional hardware and the development and validation of a software for stable data acquisition.
