Description The main objective of this thesis is the investigation with statistical methods of the possible presence of trends in the time series of rainfall measurements. Last year we published a conference proceeding on this topic, available at https://www.mdpi.com/2673-4931/21/1/28. Now we would like to continue the analysis on the greater alpine area and on the Po Basin
The work will be carried out through the analysis of daily and hourly time series of precipitation, acquired from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.
Required skills Basic/good knowledge of hydrology, GIS software such as QGIS and programming codes like R/Matlab are needed. Some data management work will also be performed.
