Description Thesis work focuses on the synthesis of highly porous carbon materials (prepared from low-cost materials) to be used as adsorbents in CO2 separation processes. The materials will be prepared by varying some synthesis parameters affecting their final porous properties and adsorption capacity. In addition to the textural and surface properties, the isosteric heats of adsorption and selectivity factors will be measured.
