Description The thesis aims to develop a simulation code for the numerical study of semiconductor optical amplifiers based on quantum dot materials.
The starting point will be an existing MATLAB which has to be optimized for the simulation of these devices.
The validation of the results will be possible through the comparison with the experimental measurements performed by the University of Edinburgh.
