Description The thesis will aim to investigate the success of the patented device S3EM (Speech and Sound Semaphore) to reduce the irrelevant speech noise levels in primary school classrooms, which host hearing impaired children with cochlear implant. S3EM is a sound level meter in the shape of a plexiglass transparent totem, which changes its color from green to yellow and red in presence of excessive noise, according to an adaptive algorithm which incentives a proactive behavior of the occupants towards the chatting noise level reduction.
