Characterization and stability of coarse grained dumps and detritic deposits

Description Mountainsides and quarry yards present debris cones, embankments, stockpiles and deposits, both natural or artificial, of coarse grained rock elements. Morphology and stability are determined by various parameters and their characterization in based necessarily on site evaluation and back analyses. This study investigates these features referring to the slope control and stability in stockpile formation.
