Similarity of Images Containing Waste Through Deep Learning

Description Waste management is a complicated problem. Consumerism leads to a continuous increase in production and consumption, which often lead to an equally conspicuous increase in the production of waste. For this reason, companies and researchers are finding ways to improve their management through the use of innovative techniques.
The purpose of the thesis is therefore to verify if it is possible to compare two images containing waste using Deep Learning techniques. This will be useful for improving recycling procedures. To verify this possibility, the student will therefore have to resort to Siamese Neural Networks or similar techniques.
Basics of Python and machine learning are not required but are strongly recommended.
