Design of Silicon Photonics chip for Biomedical applications

Description The goal of the thesis is the numerical study of a silicon photonics chip which is part of a larger biosensor based on self mixing.
After a first step of numerical simulations with tools of the Synopsys suite, the final goal of the thesis is to prepare the mask for realization of the complete chip in Silicon Photonics, which will be sent to the chosen fab.
Required skills MATLAB, basic knowledge of optoelectronic and optical passive devices. No knowledge of Synopsys is required
