Description 5G networks integrate NTN (Non Terrestrial Networks) to maximize performance and coverage of wireless access. NTN are based on large satellite networks by which satellites communicate with each other and cooperate to send information across different sites on earth.
The aim of the work is to consider the intermittent communication between satellite and evaluate the maximum performance (in terms of
latency and bandwidth) by exploiting a store-carry-forward approach. A time-space graph model of the communication will be studied and a
numerical solver will be developed to evaluate the performance for a large network of cooperative satellites.
Required skills Communication systems.
Simulation modeling and coding.
Very good programming skills. Python.
