Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description One of the main goals in the coming decades is to reduce the carbon footprint due to anthropic activities: agriculture accounts for a big quota in the climate change phenomenon. Precision Agriculture (PA) is a novel trend in the mitigation of the agrifood emissions.
The candidate will develop a modular electronic board, considering precision agriculture’s constraints, in LoRa technology, both hardware and firmware parts.
Considering the documentation and starter kits available in our research labs and using RF low-power modules (STM32WLxM Series), it is required to design the printed circuit board and realizing a dummy firmware to test it in rural scenarios through our in-field research’s activities.
Required skills Microcontroller programming (especially C language), Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design
