Thesis type SIMULATION, THEORETICAL STUDY
Description Spray freeze-drying is a promising technology to produce porous particles with physical and aerodynamic properties that are suitable for many pharmaceutical applications. Spray freeze-drying process involves the spray freezing of a liquid solution into a freezing medium and the freeze-drying of frozen particles collected in vials. Mathematical modelling of heat and mass tranfer of primary drying stage can provide new insight into the impact of process conditions and predict the effects of operation policy on drying time and product quality.
